Outer Banks Coastal Land Trust Festival September 23 & 24

Returning for its third year, the Outer Banks Coastal Land Trust Festival has grown into a weekend event with a wide range of activities throughout the Outer Banks.  The goals of the Outer Banks Coastal Land Trust Festival are to promote public awareness of the North Carolina Coastal Land Trust and its land conservation work throughout the state’s coastal plain and to raise funds for increased land protection in northeastern North Carolina.

North Carolina Coastal Land Trust is a nonprofit land conservation organization that enriches the coastal communities of our state through the acquisition of open spaces and natural areas, conservation education and the promotion of good land stewardship.

The event sponsors host the Festival to preserve natural areas and raise public awareness about the important role regional land trusts plan in land conservation.  The sponsors recognize that the Coastal Land Trust works to protect those special coastal places that attract locals and tourists alike, their patrons, to the Outer Banks.
