Paddling
along the creek through
Kitty Hawk Woods maritime forest, these
eco-tours are the most popular on
the Outer Banks. This area is home to an astonishing
assortment of wildlife including otter,
deer, egrets, herons, reptiles and
much more. Protected from wind and waves,
this tour is perfect for beginners and
enthusiasts alike. Discover
an authentic covered bridge deep in the
woods and accessible only from the water.
Tours depart from Kitty Hawk Sports
Paddling Center in Kitty Hawk at Milepost 1
at the foot of the Wright Memorial Bridge.
Times are
No experience is necessary and children
are welcome.
Tours last about 1 hour. Instruction
will be provided by a certified guide from
Kitty Hawk Sports. Volunteers from the
Outer Banks Paddlers Club will also be
on hand to assist paddlers.
Morning coffee graciously provided by
Front Porch Cafe.
